Alps, A While Back

Postby Chris Hall on Tue Jan 26, 2010 7:09 pm

I had misplaced these photos and found them while doing some home office clearing. I scanned in 3 of 'em and will get the rest done one of these days.

The wife and kids and I went to Italy for a couple of weeks. We avoided all the usual touristy spots for the most part, opting for small towns etc. But she wanted to go to Venice and I wanted to go to the Alps, so we both won! I rented a Multistrada and rode up and down along the Italy - Switzerland border.

This photo of the Ducati was taken in front of the fairly non-descript Moto Guzzi factory:

This is what riding in the Alps is all about, though for my money, the Rockies are more fun:

And this one is just a close up of one of those thousands of switchbacks:

This last one is something about not making work for my Guardian Angel, blah, blah, blah.

YMMV.

It's a bit surprising what 14 years and nearly 200,000 miles will do to an Aerostich (pic taken at Mt Lassen Volcano NP, California)....
